About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advocate for members and provide solutions that help them achieve financial goals
  • Attract new retail and business members and deepen relationships with existing members using The Member Advantage approach
  • Deliver exceptional member service with accuracy and operational excellence, including problem and complaint resolution
  • Support branch growth and a profitable book of business to achieve individual, team, and corporate goals
  • Build relationships through community/foundation involvement and member referrals
  • Promote, educate, and demonstrate available service channels
  • Participate in coaching, job shadowing, mentoring, and training
  • Detect and report fraud or irregular activities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Achieve goals and objectives provided by management
  • Support branches within the Capital East Region #1, including Troy Hoosick Street, Brunswick, North Greenbush, East Greenbush, and Schodack

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree preferred, or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • One to two years of branch banking experience
  • Passed and maintain Notary Public License within 6 months of completion of Relationship Banker Training
  • Signature Guarantee permissions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to multi-task to meet or exceed minimum performance standards
  • Effective verbal, written, listening, oral, and auditory communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work out of any location at any time, as business needs dictate
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing dynamic environment
  • Bilingual individuals fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply
