About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Accurately fill prescriptions and complete/file related paperwork
  • Ensure proper billing information is documented for insurance reimbursement
  • Administer immunizations in stores and at off-site clinics
  • Participate in local health fairs and educate the public
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with local doctors
  • Contact doctors and insurance companies to obtain and verify customer information
  • Scan items, key product codes, ensure checkout totals, and maintain cash register accuracy
  • Maintain quality control by stocking, rotating, or discarding dated products
  • Organize filled prescriptions and bulk medication bottles
  • Greet customers, answer questions, respond to complaints, and assist with product selection
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environment
  • Comply with Company safety procedures, policies, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required
  • Must be licensed in practicing state
  • Certification for administering immunizations required
  • HIPAA certification required
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmacy department operations
  • Advanced knowledge of Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
  • Advanced knowledge of CMS star ratings and their impacts
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Ability to perform basic Microsoft Office functions
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and partners
  • Attendance at work is required
  • Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 40 lbs.
