About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Accurately fill prescriptions in a timely manner and complete related paperwork
- Answer customer questions regarding proper medication use
- Work with doctors and insurance companies to obtain and verify customer information
- Administer immunizations in-store and at off-site clinics
- Participate in local health fairs to educate the public
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with local doctors
- Scan items, key product codes, ensure correct checkout totals, and maintain accurate cash counts
- Maintain quality control by stocking, rotating, or properly discarding dated products
- Organize filled prescriptions and bulk medication bottles
- Greet customers, answer questions, respond to complaints, and assist with product selection
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Comply with Company safety procedures, policies, and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 21 years of age
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required
- Must be licensed in practicing state
- Certification for administering immunizations required
- HIPAA certification required
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacy department operations
- Advanced knowledge of Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
- Advanced knowledge of CMS star ratings and their impacts
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Ability to plan events or tasks logically and prioritize work
- Ability to perform basic Microsoft Office functions
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes
- Effective written and verbal communication with customers and partners
- Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and report hazards that cannot be immediately remedied
- Attendance at work is required
- Ability to continuously stand or walk and use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, or focus
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, maneuver, or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
