About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate R&D testing activities, including thermal performance, sound, vibration, electrical, airflow, and pressure drop testing
  • Ensure testing activities comply with applicable standards and procedures
  • Oversee testing reports and laboratory deliverables
  • Support prototype preparation and installation activities
  • Delegate activities to Testing & Validation Engineers and Laboratory Technicians
  • Coordinate sensor installation, prototype preparation, calibration activities, and laboratory testing support
  • Support development and training of laboratory personnel
  • Manage laboratory measurement instruments and ensure sensors remain properly calibrated
  • Maintain calibration certificates and records
  • Coordinate calibration activities with the Metrology Department
  • Conduct research on thermo-fluid topics, natural refrigerants, and emerging technologies including Innovation, IoT, Industry 4.0, and Artificial Intelligence
  • Support refrigeration systems, thermo-fluid analysis, and concept validation projects
  • Create and maintain testing procedures and laboratory documentation
  • Update process documentation, risk assessments, environmental risk matrices, KPIs, and improvement plans
  • Drive laboratory performance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure safe laboratory operations and proper use of PPE
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and behaviors
  • Stop activities that could jeopardize personnel safety or product quality
  • Promote compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in laboratory, testing and validation, thermo-fluid development, or related engineering roles
  • Experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and ventilation, or heat exchanger manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
  • Knowledge of refrigeration and hydronic systems
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing and validation methodologies
  • Knowledge of sensor calibration and measurement equipment
  • Knowledge of ASTM, DIN, ASME, PED, ASHRAE, CTI, AMCA, and NEMA standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools
  • Leadership, strategic vision, training and coaching, planning and organization, innovation and creativity, adaptability to change, research and development mindset, and strong technical and analytical skills
