About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform R&D testing according to national, American, or European standards
Perform thermal performance, sound, vibration, electrical, airflow, and air pressure testing
Use measurement instruments and elaborate testing reports
Delegate activities such as sensor mounting, unit assembly, and prototype preparation to Testing Laboratory Leaders
Supervise electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic installations
Install units and prototypes in the laboratory
Position sensors according to each testing requirement
Maintain calibration of all sensors needed for testing
Keep calibration certificates updated and saved
Collaborate with Quality to schedule sensor calibration
Research thermo-fluid topics applicable to Güntner products
Research trends in natural and artificial refrigerants
Research new technologies, including Innovation, IoT, Industry 4.0, and AI, applied to refrigeration systems or Güntner products
Support the Innovation and Concept Validation Department with thermo-fluid and refrigeration calculations and activities
Support the Testing and Validation Department in preparing and executing performance and sound testing and measurements
Ensure laboratory technicians work safely and stop operations when needed
Identify and report conditions affecting worker ergonomics
Report unsafe conditions and acts to EHS, the R&D Manager, and the Plant Manager
Ensure personnel properly and completely use PPE

Requirements

What you’ll need

Con experiencia laboral
Experience performing R&D testing according to national, American, or European standards
Experience with thermal performance, sound, vibration, electrical, airflow, and air pressure testing
Use of measurement instruments such as thermometers, flow meters, anemometers, DP meters, sound meters, and verniers
Experience elaborating testing reports
Ability to delegate activities to Testing Laboratory Leaders
Ability to supervise electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic installations
Experience mounting, testing, and assembling units and prototypes
Knowledge of sensor positioning according to each test
Ability to maintain sensor calibration and calibration certificates
Ability to collaborate with Quality to schedule sensor calibration
Knowledge or experience in thermo-fluids and refrigeration systems
Knowledge of natural and artificial refrigerants
Knowledge of Innovation, IoT, Industry 4.0, and AI applied to refrigeration systems or products
Ability to perform thermo-fluid and refrigeration calculations
Ability to comply with laboratory safety, environmental, ergonomics, and PPE requirements
