About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support activities ensuring delivery of security solutions
- Support daily global operations through regular risk reporting
- Coordinate compliance review activities
- Identify operational improvements, organisational vulnerabilities, and risks
- Participate in implementing risk management procedures
- Perform security assessments and provide security expertise and support for priority security programmes
- Support security delivery and tracking of key security projects
- Support improvements to security operations processes
- Support security execution updates for executive and other key stakeholders
- Support creation of metrics to track and trend essential security services
- Liaise with business leaders to identify security impacts of implementations across BT Group
- Support internal and external communications for the security function
- Partner with BT Group corporate security to build complementary line-of-business services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Linux Systems Administration, including install, configure, manage, maintain
- Knowledge of patching and virtualization tasks
- Cyber Security Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communications, including documentations skills
- General IT problem solving and debugging
- IT troubleshooting
- Network troubleshooting
- Firewall troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ticketing and change management process and procedures
- Ability to learn new technologies without supervision
- Self-driven learning
- A background in server and application management in a security environment (desirable)
- In depth practical experience and knowledge of a range of specific vendor products related to role (desirable)
- In depth practical experience and knowledge of operating systems and server administration (desirable)
