About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support annual, budget and liquidity planning, as well as forecasting
  • Support quarterly and annual closing processes from a controlling perspective
  • Prepare balance sheet and liquidity plans, as well as cash flow analyses
  • Manage tasks related to liquidity, banking and guarantees
  • Prepare and further develop meaningful reports and analyses
  • Conduct contribution margin and scenario analyses, as well as ad hoc evaluations
  • Prepare management presentations
  • Analyze market prices, indices and other economic factors
  • Develop forecasts and provide a reliable basis for decision-making
  • Further develop modern reporting and analytics tools
  • Identify opportunities for optimization
  • Drive the digitalization and automation of controlling processes
  • Advise management and business units as a sparring partner
  • Present complex issues in a clear and understandable way
  • Derive well-founded recommendations for action

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, energy management or a comparable field
  • At least five years of professional experience in controlling, finance or performance management
  • Ideally, experience in the energy or utilities sector
  • Sound financial and business management knowledge
  • Strong affinity for numbers and a good understanding of broader economic interrelationships
  • Strong interest in digital solutions
  • Experience with modern BI, analytics and reporting tools
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strategic and analytical mindset
  • Ability to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to further develop data-driven management tools
  • Initiative and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Structured, solution-oriented approach to work
  • Willingness to take on responsibility
  • Confident and professional communication skills
  • Enjoyment of working with diverse stakeholders
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
