About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee technical interpretation of construction documents and drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment
  • Ensure consistency with contractual specifications and project requirements
  • Recommend or evaluate construction options and efficiencies
  • Establish project site expectations for safety, quality, unforeseen conditions, housekeeping, and general conduct
  • Manage project safety, including inspections, TAGs, pre-task analysis, and coordination with the safety team
  • Ensure daily safety training and awareness
  • Discuss safety topics with trade contractors
  • Report and investigate accidents and safety-related incidents
  • Verify, authorize, and ensure timely completion of trade contractor and employee timesheets, including extra work performed on a time-and-material basis
  • Plan and coordinate site logistics, including traffic patterns, equipment locations, storage, and staging
  • Represent Christman Constructors at assigned project sites every day and ensure work is performed according to expectations and commitments
  • Partner with the project manager, client, and trade contractors to develop project work plans
  • Coordinate project team preparation for upcoming work through progress meetings
  • Plan and coordinate timely initiation, momentum, and completion of trade contract work according to the project schedule
  • Establish work sequence, phasing, and pace requirements with trade contractor foremen
  • Discuss quality expectations with trade foremen before installation
  • Arrange pre-installation coordination meetings for work areas involving overlapping trade contractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in construction or a related job field
  • Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Trade related training and experience working as a Carpenter, Finisher, or Operator (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, Procore, Building Information Model (BIM), and Microsoft Project (preferred)
  • OSHA 30-hour (preferred)
