About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure safety goals are achieved for responsible projects and identify safe work practices and areas for improvement
  • Manage project engineering, including shop drawing and submittal review/coordination, material ordering and sequencing, resolving layout/drawing discrepancies, supporting layout engineers/surveyors, and developing construction technical knowledge
  • Support concrete and civil estimating, including quantity takeoffs, estimates, proposal development, and subcontractor scopes/pricing
  • Assist with project planning, including civil and concrete means/methods, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
  • Support project superintendents and craft foremen with project execution, field management, and day-to-day coordination
  • Assist Project and Assistant Project Managers with subcontractor/vendor buyout, commitments, and scope execution
  • Estimate and quote extra work, document changes, and track Owner contract changes
  • Complete and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, safety forms, drawing logs, material logs, equipment logs, and time/material tickets
  • Work with the project team to develop project and look-ahead schedules
  • Support Civil and Concrete Strategic Planning initiatives and ensure compliance with the strategic plan

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or other relevant course work, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including drug and background screening
  • One (1) or more years of work experience in construction or a related job field (preferred)
