About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate requirements from products, projects, and the business into viable technical solution approaches
- Actively contribute to implementation decisions
- Gain a thorough understanding of the software architecture and analyze interfaces, APIs, and data flows
- Connect software, data, and physical systems into a functioning overall system
- Make intensive use of AI in software development
- Develop approaches for further automating development work
- Implement architectures, concepts, and AI approaches directly in code and systems
- Take ownership, address challenges independently and solution-orientated, and proactively drive topics forward
- Work closely with the CTO, development team, product, and business functions
- Help shape the architecture, ways of working, and technical direction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in engineering or computer science (e.g., technical computer science, electrical engineering, or automation engineering), or an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience
- Ideally, at least two to three years of professional experience after graduation
- Experience working with real-world technical systems
- Proven professional experience with more than one programming language
- Understanding of modern architectures, such as distributed or microservice architectures
- Understanding of APIs, interfaces, and end-to-end data flows
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges in a structured manner and weigh different solution options
- Strong interest in the impact of AI on software development
- Experience with AI-assisted development processes
- Willingness to develop, build, and implement concepts and solutions hands-on
- Ability to explain technical interdependencies clearly, advocate for decisions, and document them in a transparent and comprehensible manner
- German proficiency at least at C1 level
- Experience with event-driven architectures and data platforms, embedded systems or hardware integration, DevOps or cybersecurity, as well as experience in energy, infrastructure, or building automation, is a plus
