About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain Bulk's fiber infrastructure, telehousing facilities and support systems
- Continuously improve maintenance plans, operating procedures, testing regimes, and risk controls for the fiber network and telehousing assets
- Ensure data quality and maintain asset documentation and lifecycle records
- Prepare requirements specifications and manage procurement and vendors for technical and operational equipment and services
- Directly support operational issues, including critical equipment and event support
- Lead incident management during fault situations with the NOC through resolution
- Maintain proactive, clear communication with customers throughout troubleshooting
- Support technical assessments in customer dialogues
- Execute customer deliverables and commissioning requirements
- Incorporate operational requirements into engineering reviews, network planning, and new-build projects
- Report to the SVP Fiber Networks and work within the Fiber Networks Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in telecom
- Higher education in engineering
- Technical foundation to understand, question and challenge telecom infrastructure operations
- Structured, process-oriented approach to procedures, documentation and operational discipline
- Strong solution orientation and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency and excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English
- Hands-on experience with fiber infrastructure, transmission technologies and support systems is good to have
- Experience from, or working closely with, a Network Operations Center is good to have
- Experience developing maintenance plans, operating procedures and testing regimes for optical fiber systems and telehousing is good to have
- CV and cover letter required
