About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the quality, compliance, and performance of the department’s accounting operations
  • Lead a team of 5 to 7 employees and develop best practices, tools, and methods
  • Oversee monthly closing reviews and ensure the accounts comply with Group policies and applicable accounting standards
  • Manage accounting and financial controls
  • Coordinate internal and external auditors, and identify and monitor action plans
  • Define and monitor the department’s key performance indicators
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen risk anticipation
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring activities
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving accounting systems and tools
  • Set individual and collective objectives
  • Support change and the evolution of accounting roles
  • Cover a scope of more than 30 legal entities in France

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or Management, or equivalent qualification
  • DSCG or French Chartered Accountant qualification (Diplôme d’Expertise Comptable) preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in an accounting, audit, or consolidation department
  • Significant experience managing teams
  • Experience in an audit firm is highly desirable
  • Professional English is essential
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting and accounting review procedures
  • Ability to ensure the compliance of accounts and the quality of Group consolidation reporting packages
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Ability to map, analyze, and standardize practices
  • Leadership skills and the ability to develop team capabilities
  • Results-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven approach
  • Technical expertise, a broad perspective, and the ability to engage teams in change
