About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and develop new-generation Construction Code professionals
  • Perform scheduled assignments between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Perform daily duties responsibly and safely while respecting private and personal property
  • Communicate with the manager and assigned mentor
  • Pursue professional development through additional ICC certifications, training opportunities, and study of applicable codes and standards
  • Work daily with an assigned seasoned professional inspector mentor
  • Dedicate time to learning the industry and preparing for ICC certification exams
  • Develop thorough inspection, detailed reporting, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Undergo evaluations at the end of three months and after completing the Residential Combination Inspector certification

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience required
  • Must achieve Residential Building Inspector certification within the first 3 months of employment
  • Must achieve Residential Combination Inspector certification within the following 6 months
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to operate work-related technology, including laptop, tablet, and iPhone
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and similar programs
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct
  • Self-discipline and ability to work without direct supervision
  • Ability to work well with people and as a team member
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude toward the company and clients
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
  • Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license
