About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide quality assurance on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client
  • Conduct on-site inspections during the construction phase
  • Communicate with Project Managers to determine work-order scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, fabrication shops, contractors, Bureau Veritas employees, and third parties to resolve issues
  • Ensure services comply with project requirements and client contracts
  • Generate, process, and respond to timesheets, billing reports, expense reports, emails, instant messages, and inspection reports
  • Submit typewritten reports using Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat and transmit them electronically to the Project Manager
  • Communicate information from fabrication facilities about upcoming assignments and potential Bureau Veritas work
  • Maintain positive relationships among Bureau Veritas, fabrication facilities, and clients
  • Work remotely, on-site, and/or from established Bureau Veritas offices/work sites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position
  • Reliable high-speed Internet connection
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Fiscal ability to pay travel expenses for 1–2 weeks in advance
  • Ability to work remotely, on-site, and/or from established Bureau Veritas offices/work sites
  • Client-oriented approach
  • Detail-oriented, with dedication to quality control and quality assurance
  • Ability to understand and read complex design and fabrication plans and specifications
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, and MS Calendar
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and other word-processing/document-control software
  • Ability to multitask and execute multiple simultaneous assignments
  • Team player willing to work with clients, field staff, other Bureau Veritas offices, and the worldwide Bureau Veritas organization
  • Ability to identify when additional PPE is required
  • Ability to use a smartphone camera and insert photos into client reports
  • Must remain stationary for long periods
  • Ability to move around workspaces and frequently ascend/descend ladders or stairs
  • Current/active American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector or Senior Certified Welding Inspector certification (Required)
  • Non-Destructive Testing Level II UT & MT certification (Required)
  • NACE/AMPP Level II certification (Preferred)
