About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct dependability analyses, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and facilitate HAZOP and LOPA studies
  • Participate in the assessment of safety instrumented functions in accordance with IEC 61511
  • Assess Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and verify their Safety Integrity Level (SIL)
  • Support clients in identifying failures and propose improvement solutions
  • Conduct availability studies
  • Work with industrial clients
  • Collaborate with a team of seven and report to Maxime
  • Contribute to commercial proposals and business development
  • Apply technical expertise to ensure equipment reliability and compliance, as well as the safety of people and assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Master's degree or equivalent (Bac+5) in electronics, dependability engineering, or a related field
  • Significant experience in dependability engineering and functional safety
  • Proficiency in dependability modeling and simulation tools
  • Experience using software such as GRIF Petro, Bfiab, TREE, and DNV MAROS
  • Knowledge of IEC 61511, IEC 61508, and ISO 13849 standards
  • Proficiency in English in an international technical environment
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Curiosity and an interest in using AI in engineering activities and process improvement
  • Experience contributing to commercial proposals
  • Experience in robotics, batteries, or defense would be an advantage
  • Eligibility to meet French national defense secrecy requirements would be an advantage
