About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the accounts payable lifecycle, including supplier invoices, approvals, and recording costs against analytical projects
  • Issue client invoices for labor and expenses via email and dedicated platforms
  • Review employee expense receipts for compliance, accuracy, and completeness
  • Support month-end close through accrual journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations by the D+3 deadline
  • Assist with annual audits across three legal entities
  • Collaborate with Operations on purchase order funding, supplier payment workflows, invoicing, and cash collection
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, operational leaders, and the India-based finance team
  • Maintain professional relationships across departments and ensure process adherence
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
  • Contribute to financial governance through proactive problem-solving
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Organizational excellence in high-volume environments with competing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers, operational leaders, finance teams, clients, and suppliers
  • Professional approach when representing Bureau Veritas to external partners
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements
  • MS Office fluency with intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and filtering
  • ERP accounting system experience; Deltek Vision is a plus
  • Required US East Coast location
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
