About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide storage management support
- Provide support and advice on the customer's storage, backup and disaster recovery environment
- Assist with installation, configuration, patching, upgrading and testing of ICT infrastructure, including operating systems, virtualisation platforms and enterprise applications
- Provide quality assurance for projects relating to technical solution design and documentation
- Liaise with the business regarding new capabilities
- Undertake business-as-usual activities as required and directed
- Provide skills transfer to technical staff as specified by the customer
- Provide other deliverables in the form, manner and timeframes specified by the customer
- Prepare and maintain operating procedures for storage management
- Monitor capacity, performance, availability and other operational metrics
- Take corrective and proactive maintenance actions for storage and backup systems
- Create reports and proposals for improvement
- Contribute to planning and implementation of new installations, scheduled maintenance and changes to existing systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must possess valid PV security clearance (Positive Vetting)
- Strong proficiency in ICT
- Advanced technical writing skills
- Solid understanding of business processes within the Defence & Security sector
- Experience in storage management
- Knowledge of storage, backup and disaster recovery environments
- Knowledge of operating systems, virtualisation platforms and enterprise applications
- Ability to monitor capacity, performance, availability and other operations metrics
- Ability to prepare and maintain operating procedures for storage management
- Ability to perform corrective and proactive maintenance of storage and backup systems
- Ability to create reports and proposals for improvement
- Ability to contribute to planning and implementation of new installations and scheduled maintenance
- Ability to work in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
