About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical, client and business line support for the Americas region and global business line
- Support technical services, strategy, new product development, global processes, capacity planning and technical governance
- Seek opportunities for new products and revenue through service expansion and development
- Monitor, develop and manage technical aspects of regulatory-related services for Americas customers
- Provide technical insight, interpretations and recommendations to clients and colleagues
- Maintain and improve quality systems and technical service processes
- Respond to technical questions from the Tech Inquiry Mailbox
- Develop SOPs, methods, work instructions and standard interpretation practices
- Develop and conduct technical training sessions in the Americas region
- Match client needs with Bureau Veritas testing offerings
- Monitor customer inquiries and identify potential new service opportunities
- Monitor regulatory and industry-standard changes and update or develop testing methodologies
- Resolve technical issues across the region and support continuous improvement
- Improve client satisfaction with Lab Managers/Directors and Business Development teams
- Provide regulatory interpretations for client projects and support knowledge-product sales
- Develop industry relationships through committees, meetings and conferences
- Develop technical marketing content, including service sheets, FAQs, training and technical bulletins
- Interact with governmental agencies regarding regulations
- Analyze service-request patterns and estimate market potential and operational impact
- Support client meetings, new-service integration and RFP processes
- Lead development, repackaging and extension of technical services
- Ensure accurate and consistent test methods throughout the region
- Implement and monitor global testing methodology across the Americas
- Monitor audit and correlation programs and provide technical guidance
- Assist with complaint investigations and resolutions
- Align regional testing capabilities and capacity with sales and marketing plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors in related field required; Masters a plus
- Minimum of two years experience with Customer services and/or direct customer interface
- >10 years of relevant experience required in assigned service line or related discipline
- 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, product development or business development required; MBA a plus
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above
- Extensive knowledge of applicable areas of expertise, concepts, processes, and equipment
- Ability to interpret regulations and standards
- Strong math skills and working knowledge of statistical procedures
- Strong computer skills; medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes and statistical packages
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation ability
- Ability to travel up to 20% in the USA, with limited international travel
