About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Calculate financial ratios and monitor borrowers’ covenants for compliance with loan documents
  • Communicate borrower performance and trend analysis to appropriate parties
  • Complete post-booking reviews on commercial loans for accuracy of loan documents and covenant tracking
  • Analyze and assess financial statements and credit histories of existing and potential clients
  • Support Credit Administration special projects
  • Comply with credit administration policies and procedures
  • Prepare ad hoc reports
  • Provide backup assistance during peak volumes, including reviewing Borrowing Base Certificates and financial statements
  • Mentor less experienced Credit Monitoring Analysts
  • Complete assigned Moody’s Credit Modules
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Provide extraordinary service while complying with Bank policies and procedures
  • Adhere to Busey Bank policies, laws, regulations and industry best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, accounting or business
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with credit loan documents and credit monitoring experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate understanding of credit analysis and financial statements
  • Full understanding of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
  • Full understanding of loan and collateral documents, including attorney prepared documentation
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend credit write-ups and loan documentation
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask and work independently
  • Ability to perform duties under frequent time pressures with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience in nCino and Jack Henry preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Reliable and predictable attendance, both onsite and remote
