About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and extend customer-facing solutions on the payment processing platform
Design and build full-stack features end to end, from APIs and data models through Angular/React UIs
Translate customer and product-management requirements into solutions within existing frameworks and architecture
Act as subject-matter expert and technical point of contact for assigned application platforms
Interact directly with customers when needed
Propose and drive architectural improvements to new and existing applications
Improve team processes, tooling, and delivery practices
Write maintainable, well-tested code using SOLID principles and sound object-oriented/domain design
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
Work within an Agile/Scrum process, including sprint planning and estimation
Depending on the team, act as technical lead for the scrum team
Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
4-6 years of professional software development experience, including full-stack work
Advanced-level command of C# and .NET
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
Hands-on experience building production UIs in Angular and/or React
Experience with Microsoft Azure and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of IIS, Azure function apps, Kubernetes microservices, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Auth0, Visual Studio, and Jira
Demonstrated application of SOLID design principles and good coding craftsmanship
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to cope with deadlines and pressure situations gracefully
Comfort acting as a customer-facing technical point of contact
Experience leading scrum teams, mentoring other engineers, and acting as a customer point-of-contact and technical subject matter expert
Experience in payments, fintech, or another compliance-heavy domain preferred
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design concepts preferred
Experience working across a distributed/global engineering team preferred
Experience with MongoDB preferred
Advanced knowledge of coding concepts and ability to deliver high-quality multi-tier application solutions
