Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications, Web APIs, and batch applications
  • Create test cases supporting business requirements across all complexity levels
  • Thoroughly document defects
  • Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Enter comprehensive test cases into the test case management system
  • Document test results in the test case management system
  • Monitor defect tracking systems and manage bug tracking
  • Apply quality assurance methodologies and the SDLC
  • Ask probing questions and anticipate potential solution impacts
  • Propose creative solutions to grow the business and improve client satisfaction
  • Perform other assigned duties
  • Comply with all policies and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of experience in manual or automated testing
  • Proven ability to break software and frustrate software engineers
  • Previous exposure to user interface development, billing/payroll modules, or import/export data files helpful
  • Highly motivated, innovative, self-directed thinker with eagerness to stay up-to-date with current trends
  • Knowledge of Gherkin test format
  • Compliance with company policies, standards, security practices, procedures, and controls
