Key responsibilities & impact

Own a major feature, service, or technical workstream inside a product area
Translate product and business requirements into technical solutions
Deliver clean, efficient code based on sprint commitments and coding standards
Design, implement, test, deploy, and support major features, services, or substantial portions of team software
Make design trade-offs involving maintainability, performance, dependencies, delivery speed, and operational risk
Lead root-cause analysis for complex defects
Conduct code reviews and contribute to design discussions, planning, and operational excellence reviews
Improve development, testing, deployment, documentation, or support mechanisms
Use approved AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while reviewing output for correctness, security, and maintainability
Mentor newer engineers and help onboard teammates
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Software Engineering, or related degree, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience designing and building stable, maintainable, and performant software or services
Strong coding ability in at least one modern programming language and comfort working across a typical software delivery lifecycle
Experience with code reviews, design trade-offs, debugging, testing, and production support
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners
Extensive knowledge of Java, SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, object-oriented programming, and relational databases (Oracle)
Must comply with all policies and standards
