About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build native iOS apps that reinvent the ultrasound user experience for the mobile age
Champion continuous improvement of software architecture and team processes
Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver solutions to complex problems
Work with hardware, cloud, machine learning, control software, and imaging science teams to integrate cross-cutting features
Participate in user research sessions to understand real-world product usage
Collaborate with Android and iOS developers to clarify ambiguous requirements through iterative problem-solving
Work with product managers, designers, and clinical professionals to develop medical imaging experiences
Produce high-quality, efficient, and well-tested modern Swift code
Follow and evolve established team architecture patterns and codebase
Work in a complex codebase with internal Swift packages managed by iOS, Device Software, Imaging, and AI teams
Mentor engineers at all levels
Work on deep learning applications, telemedicine, and Butterfly iQ device integration
Leverage Swift, SwiftUI, reactive programming, and GraphQL
Break requirements into actionable engineering tickets
Perform a broad variety of tasks supporting the role and responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Track record of professional achievement and problem solving
5+ years of native iOS application development
Strong grasp of Swift and reactive framework design patterns
Strong grasp of SwiftUI and UIKit UI design development
Strong grasp of XCTest unit testing and knowledge of UI automation
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

Ideally: experience with complex application structures and Obj-C bridging layers
Ideally: experience with Swift Package Manager and package creation
Ideally: knowledge of graphics rendering and image processing, including OpenGL and Vulkan
Ideally: Python and C++ experience
