About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in stakeholder meetings to learn how the business gathers and documents requirements
- Help translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
- Support documentation of current-state and future-state processes for digital initiatives
- Assist in building custom applications and reporting solutions
- Support prototyping of AI-driven features such as automation, natural language interfaces, and predictive insights
- Help test and refine solutions based on stakeholder feedback
- Support the design and build of integrations between business applications and data platforms
- Work with Databricks pipelines, notebooks, and data models
- Help validate data flowing between systems for accuracy and reliability
- Depending on background, focus on the business or engineering aspect while gaining exposure to the other area
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science, Data Analytics / Business Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Administration with a quantitative or technology concentration, Finance, Real Estate, or Economics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in AI/ML concepts and their business applications
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- BWE will not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits, including assistance with obtaining work permission for F-1 students, H-1B professionals, O-1 workers, TN workers, or E-3 workers
- Preferred but not required: Exposure to SQL or Python
- Preferred but not required: Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or similar data platforms
- Preferred but not required: Experience with requirements-gathering tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Visio
- Preferred but not required: Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Preferred but not required: Coursework or projects involving AI/ML or application development
