About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with the Category CEO (Category Manager) to execute comprehensive category business plans aligned with company goals and strategies
- Develop and execute tactics involving assortment, pricing, promotion, and shelf placement
- Manage the promotional offer process and ensure vendor submissions align with expectations and P&L requirements
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely and accurate contract submissions
- Manage seasonal and promotional inventory for corporate retail stores
- Support item life cycle management through innovation launches and exit strategies
- Maintain the Not on File process as directed by category managers
- Support ad proofing by preparing and compiling notes for cross-functional teams
- Research and resolve store pricing issues related to promotional offers
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Business Administration, Food Marketing, or another related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Two years’ experience in marketing, category management, or store leadership
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong financial acumen and ability to navigate, interpret, and analyze data
- Working knowledge of category planning practices
- Ability to determine quick solutions
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Nielsen Category Management tools
- Experience with purchasing systems is a plus
