About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver data center facilities from initial planning and budget through design, build, start-up and commissioning
  • Manage several projects simultaneously, delivering on time, on budget and to company design standards
  • Lead greenfield new builds and major phased expansions
  • Manage architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and OEMs
  • Lead RFP and buyout activities, including bid evaluation, negotiation and contractor selection
  • Manage budgets, change orders and schedules
  • Maintain Procore reporting
  • Coordinate with EHS to maintain safe sites
  • Complete clean handovers to facility operations
  • Report project risks early to stakeholders
  • Ensure facilities are ready for operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years leading data center construction projects
  • Bachelor’s degree and a strong technical background in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong MEP and trades knowledge
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, schematics and sequences of operation
  • Scheduling experience in MS Project or Primavera P6, with DCMA 14 or similar
  • Familiarity with Procore, MOPs, NETA standards, BMS and EPMS, access control and CCTV, and LV and network systems
  • Exceptional organisation
  • Ability to explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Readiness to travel 50 to 60% of the time across regions
  • Comfort working on active construction sites
