About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide general labor to assist in various Outside Plant Construction scenarios.
  • Maintain a safe work record and identify potentially unsafe working scenarios or conditions.
  • Follow OSHA general guidelines as directed.
  • Work efficiently as a team member of a construction crew.
  • Interact with customers professionally and ensure the team leaves the working environment in like or better condition.
  • Help with general day-to-day maintenance of construction tools and machinery.
  • Work outside in all-weather environments on a regular basis.
  • Develop career skills and grow into other areas of C Spire.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or recognized equivalent.
  • At least one year of proven experience in general construction or like service.
  • Must be able to use a computer for email communications and general job functions.
  • Must be able to login to proprietary systems and email attachments.
  • Available for after-hours work.
  • Must have the physical ability to help with general day-to-day maintenance of construction tools and machinery.
  • Must be physically fit, able to lift 50+ lbs., bend/crouch regularly, extensive walking, etc.
  • Must be able to work outside in all-weather environments on a regular basis.
  • Minimum one year telecom construction experience (special consideration).
  • Minimum one year of directional drilling experience (special consideration).
  • Certifications in equipment operation (special consideration).
  • A two-year associate degree or equivalent work experience (special consideration).
