About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document ABAP code for RICEFW objects
Optimize, enhance, and provide operations and maintenance support for ABAP applications performing financial and business management functions on SAP S/4HANA, ECC, CRM, SRM, and TMS
Analyze customer business operations to validate requirements and scope
Suggest process improvements and assist with level-of-effort estimation
Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents
Conduct unit, integration, and release testing
Support end-user acceptance testing
Participate in production operations and release management support
Design and build modern SAP Fiori user interfaces
Implement transactional, factsheet, and analytical Fiori applications
Enhance standard applications using the enhancement framework
Design and model OData services using Gateway Service Builder
Field applications within the existing application Launchpad environment
Ensure SAP ABAP capabilities align with DoD transportation doctrine, regulatory requirements, and Clean Core principles
Support complex integrations across DoD and commercial transportation ecosystems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active DoD Secret Clearance (minimum required)
Minimum of 10+ years of development experience
5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and supporting applications related to SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, SAP S/4HANA, and other IT systems
Prior experience supporting USTRANSCOM (USTC) transportation operations, systems, or programs
Experience with SAP NetWeaver ABAP Stack environments
Experience with ABAP Objects, ABAP Reports, ABAP online transactions, and Web Dynpro
Experience with BAPI, ALE, IDOCs, PI, SOAP, XML, Web Services, Proxies, APIs, and REST services
Experience with BOPF and backend OData services
Experience with User Exits, BADIs, and Batch Programming
Experience with SAP UI5 technologies and tools including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, VS Code, and Eclipse
Experience with SAP S/4HANA data modeling using HANA Studio, ADT, AMDP, CDS views, Native SQL, database procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA, and HANA Live models
Knowledge and experience using the ABAP RESTful Programming Model
Expert troubleshooting, debugging, and problem analysis skills
Strong knowledge of SAP standard functionality using ABAP Objects and modern SAP technologies
Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP Data Dictionary and other SAP repository objects
