About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help customers send log data through enterprise networks to specific destinations
- Design, build, and maintain log data collection pipelines using Cribl, ArcSight, Kafka, AWS products, Linux servers, and Microsoft servers
- Design, build, and maintain log data management environments using Elasticsearch or Sentinel
- Research physical or cloud resources needed to support Linux systems or hosted products
- Troubleshoot data flow issues from SIEM collection points to SIEM or long-term storage destinations
- Troubleshoot data display and storage issues within SIEM environments
- Perform root cause analysis for complex issues
- Ensure product uptime
- Maintain application, system, and product versions according to agency policies
- Develop or improve processes using scripts, Ansible, or AWS products
- Document tasks, processes, changes, and product statuses
- Provide team training on tasks and products
- Interact with internal and external customers during all project phases
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Participate in rare on-call coverage, including nights and weekends
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications within 120 days of hire
- 2+ years Enterprise LAN networking experience
- 3+ years of Unix/Linux Server Administration or similar experience
- 2+ years of Windows Server Administration or similar experience
- 2+ years hands-on AWS experience
- Good oral and written communications
- Good listening and comprehension
- Up to 10% local travel
- Desired: 1+ years of experience in WAN networking, Elasticsearch, Sentinel, Kafka, ArcSight, Kubernetes, Cribl, or Ansible
- Desired: Experience with YAML, Python, Bash, and/or Ruby
- Desired: Experience using version control tools such as Git
