About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and apply mathematical and statistical theory to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data
- Support Defense Intelligence All Source Analysts across political military, infrastructure, military capability, advanced all-source methods, counterintelligence, and transnational mission sets
- Plan and perform data collection and processing
- Organize information and check for inaccuracies
- Design, test, install, maintain, operate, and develop Python, SQL, and other programming or scripting solutions
- Produce analytical results in graphs, charts, tables, and metrics using tools such as Tableau
- Prepare written and visual products documenting findings and research
- Ensure discoverability of business analytics reporting through webpages and dashboards
- Create new dashboards as needed
- Develop and refine quantitative, qualitative, and business analysis skills
- Explore and operationalize data sources using scientific processes and technologies
- Uncover and communicate product and business insights
- Apply functional and general industry knowledge
- Develop or contribute to solutions to moderately scoped and complex problems
- Work independently with some guidance
- Review or guide activities of more junior employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of directly related experience, or Master’s degree and 2+ years directly related experience
- Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles
- Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles
- Experience using Python and SQL to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis
- Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
- Ability to create reports and present key insights based on analysis
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Experience implementing NLP methodologies such as TF-IDF or FastText
- Experience programming in an AWS cloud environment
- Active/current TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph is required
- AWS certification preferred
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible preferred
- Experience with a continuous delivery machine-learning project preferred
