About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a Database Administrator supporting the client’s Corporate Business Information Systems
Provide Oracle database support for Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, Momentum, and PeopleSoft applications
Administer MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MarkLogic, MongoDB, and DynamoDB database systems
Support customers across multiple networks
Perform RMAN backups/restores and database exports/imports
Formulate ad-hoc SQL queries and troubleshoot low-level system and performance issues
Resolve application issues, software/hardware failures, and network problems
Resolve complex system failures and address Service Center incident tickets
Maintain user accounts and ACLs on network file systems
Maintain system backups, snapshots, and database archive log operations
Assess, implement, and manage technical solutions for performance and availability
Conduct routine server audits for compliance
Communicate with internal, external, and vendor contacts
Participate in technical exchanges and provide subject matter expertise
Support computer security and accreditation compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree in CS, IS, engineering, or other technical discipline
10 years’ experience
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
Install and administer Oracle Grid Infrastructure, RDBMS, Cloud Control, and ASM technologies
Administer Linux OS and associated file systems
Develop, manage, and maintain administrative scripts written in a variety of languages
Provide database cloning, performance optimization, usage monitoring, mirroring, and patch installation
Perform and maintain database snapshot, backup, and disaster recovery processes
Provide impact assessment for system-level changes
Ensure compliance with computer security and accreditation policies
IT security expertise
Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible)
Ability to successfully complete a polygraph
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to provide after-hours and on-call support
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional preferred
Oracle Cloud Certification preferred
Knowledge of PeopleSoft applications and processes, geospatial products, and COP management preferred
