About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive exponential growth within CACI’s Space Sensing and Defense division
- Build customer relationships and execute a growth strategy for a division generating over $500M in annual revenue
- Drive pipeline development and shape future acquisitions
- Foster trusted partnerships across CACI, the U.S. Space Force, Department of War, Intelligence Community, commercial and nontraditional contractors
- Oversee business development to sustain and exceed targeted P&L booking requirements
- Cultivate relationships with government stakeholders, Program Acquisition Executives Offices, and Intelligence Community customers
- Expand Space Payloads from the Intelligence Community into the broader Department of War and assess commercial and international expansion
- Support long-range planning, pipeline development, and backlog generation
- Guide proposal strategies and color team reviews
- Partner with business and engineering leads to shape new hardware and software offerings
- Analyze geopolitical sentiment, customer priorities, and emerging technology advancements
- Use cross-functional leadership to drive business development objectives in a matrixed environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 12+ years of strategic business development experience in the Space and Intelligence sectors
- Proven track record of scaling large business units and managing capture strategies
- US Citizen
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated pipeline growth and long-range planning experience
- Experience navigating USG Opportunity Management Systems (SAM.gov, ARC, NSTXL SpEC)
- Proficiency with CRM, pipeline, and ERP tools including Salesforce, GovWin, CostPoint, Unanet, and SAP
- Demonstrated engineering background with foundational knowledge in space optical sensing
- Knowledge of agile management tools
- Master's degree preferred
- Up to 25% travel required
