About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform quality maintenance on assigned aircraft according to federal aviation regulations, OEM requirements, or military technical orders
- Repair and replace aircraft structures and functional components, including wings, fuselage, rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units
- Read and interpret manufacturer and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications
- Examine engines for oil leaks, diagnose malfunctions, inspect turbine blades, and remove/install engines
- Test engine operation using troubleshooting procedures and diagnostic test equipment
- Replace or repair worn or damaged components
- Disassemble and inspect parts for defects
- Repair or replace defective engine parts and reassemble/install engines
- Perform aircraft servicing duties, including flushing crankcases, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes
- Service engines and airframe components at line stations and make repairs needed to maintain safe operating condition
- Repair and modify structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned
- Support development and testing of aerial ISR technologies with Army and industry partners
- Contribute to safe and efficient daily maintenance of CACI’s Gulfstream G-III and C-20 aircraft fleet
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Valid FAA (A&P) Certificate required
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic on Gulfstream G-III, IV, V and C-20
- Completion of formal maintenance training on assigned aircraft (G-III, IV, V) desired
- Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training desired
- Gulfstream G-III or C-20 recent aviation maintenance experience preferred
- Six (6) months of flight line and overhaul & inspection experience preferred
- Ability to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Clearance required
- Valid US Passport required
- Mechanic Tools required; mechanics must provide their own shadowed/etched tools and toolbox
- Valid US driver's license
- Up to 10% travel required
- Gulfstream G-III/IV/V experience required
