About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on the Contract Work Breakdown Structure
  • Advise Project Control and Engineering teams in detailed project planning and scope development for engineering and infrastructure projects
  • Develop achievable master schedule critical paths for project, program and contractual milestones
  • Prepare project and program status reports based on current and forecast schedules
  • Implement and maintain schedule change control
  • Ensure the contract WBS is properly updated and current
  • Integrate subcontractors into the IMS
  • Conduct and facilitate weekly IMS reviews with the program team
  • Process monthly project accounting and schedule performance data for EVMS and/or cost management reporting
  • Prepare trend analyses, corrective-action recommendations, cost-control reports, performance measurement reports, cost and schedule variance analyses, forecasts and studies
  • Analyze requirements, evaluate EVM performance, establish and maintain project schedule policies, and project out-year requirements
  • Monitor contract performance metrics and provide independent assessments of performance issues to upper management based on EVM metrics analysis
  • Work with technical team leads to identify critical tasks, contractual milestones and program interdependencies
  • Develop scheduling status reports and regular schedule deliverables for Program Management meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics or business), or high school diploma/GED with an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • IMS creation and scheduling experience
  • Familiarity with determining the Critical Path and performing Schedule status updates and Schedule Risk Assessments
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Visio and SharePoint
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Sound knowledge of schedule systems, principles and practices
  • Ability to build and maintain accurate and up-to-date complex Government Contract schedules
  • Experience managing multiple projects and integrating multiple schedules into a master schedule or interfacing with teams managing different schedules
  • Experience re-sequencing the IMS based upon Government Option Periods and changes
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Familiarity with DoD Contracting environment
  • Experience running DCMA 14-point schedule assessments
  • Experience on large-scale development projects
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera or Open Plan
