About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using the Mendix low-code platform
Create and maintain domain models, microflows, nanoflows, and page layouts in Mendix Studio Pro
Develop RESTful and SOAP web services for system integration
Build responsive user interfaces meeting accessibility and usability standards
Integrate Mendix applications with external systems, databases, and APIs
Implement custom widgets and modules using JavaScript, Java, or React when needed
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Mendix best practices and coding standards
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and integrations
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Optimize application performance and ensure scalability
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with government standards
Support application deployments across development, test, and production environments
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Stay current with Mendix platform updates and new features

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active Secret Clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
3+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years of Mendix development
Strong proficiency with Mendix Studio Pro and Mendix platform architecture
Experience with domain modeling, microflows, and page design in Mendix
Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services integration
Understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts
Proficiency in SQL for data queries and manipulation
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Experience with version control systems (SVN, Git)
Team player skills to collaborate with other teams
Ability to build out wireframes from requirements
