About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership for CACI’s flagship space optical communications product portfolio
Report to the Vice President of Optical Communications
Manage all aspects of the CrossBeam product family
Deliver CrossBeam production schedules and year-over-year product-family market growth
Drive and participate in new business pursuits
Execute and deliver significant backlog on time and at budget
Oversee engineers, production staff, and program managers
Establish and cultivate internal and external relationships
Assess technology and capability gaps and identify innovative solutions
Develop technology roadmaps and manage technical investments
Engage in program growth and new business capture activities
Establish relationships with strategic partners
Identify and cultivate technical talent
Meet CrossBeam production commitments quarter over quarter and year over year
Lead annual operating and capital plans and budgets
Nurture, develop, and introduce technical innovations
Assess future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities
Ensure the organization is structured and staffed to meet business and client needs
Manage organizational performance, people leadership, and retention
Generate optimum revenues and profit for CACI

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 15 years' experience in program leadership and customer-facing engagement in aerospace and/or defense product development and manufacturing
Proven experience leading high-tech development and manufacturing teams
Working knowledge of DoD and/or Federal procurement practices
Experience managing large diverse teams of employees and complex programs and portfolios
Experience managing customer and employee expectations and driving creative solutions to operational issues
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Ability to work collegially as a contributing member of a strong leadership team
Ability to set up and drive customer meetings
Experience working with capture teams to negotiate agreements and partnerships with competitors
Experience driving solutions and pricing strategies
Ability to build and sustain favorable customer relationships
Experience working in a matrix organization and managing direct and indirect structures
