About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate portfolio Epics and business objectives into Capabilities and Features for ART execution
- Collaborate with Epic Owners, Business Owners, Product/Solution Management, Architects, and ART SMEs
- Decompose Epics into Capabilities and Features and ensure complete ART backlog coverage
- Define and document Features and Enabler Features, including scope, business value, acceptance criteria, dependencies, assumptions, and expected outcomes
- Facilitate cross-functional working sessions across business, technical, functional, architecture, integration, security, and data stakeholders
- Size and refine Features for delivery within a Program Increment
- Identify and coordinate cross-team, cross-ART, cross-Feature, and cross-Epic dependencies
- Manage and refine the ART backlog and prioritize Features with Product Management and ART leadership
- Drive ART Backlog Refinement and PI-planning readiness
- Support Product Owners and team-level Business Analysts with Feature-to-Story decomposition
- Maintain end-to-end traceability from Epics and Capabilities through Features and Stories
- Monitor Feature progress and support PI Planning, System Demos, Feature acceptance, and ART-level reporting
- Address dependency, scope, and requirement issues as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass background investigation
- Must have a Secret clearance to begin employment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on iterative software-development projects
- Familiarity with SAFe or other Agile methodologies
- Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Ability to work in a Scaled Agile environment
