About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in high-level Army Staff, Joint, and DoD forums to capture strategic intent and develop actionable IT/SATCOM strategies and courses of action
  • Translate strategic discussions into actionable work products and technical products
  • Draft, refine, and finalize HQDA deliverables, including information and decision briefings, executive summaries, and quantifiable metrics
  • Tailor deliverables to senior leadership specifications and tight timelines
  • Present work products, courses of action, and strategic briefings to General Officer and SES leadership
  • Drive Army SATCOM modernization initiatives, including MILSATCOM/COMSATCOM integration and Commercial LEO/MEO hybridization
  • Promote alignment with Army SATCOM policies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align enterprise-level SATCOM services with DoD CIO and Army G-6 policies
  • Manage concurrent SATCOM projects
  • Navigate the Army Staff Action process (ETMS) and ensure stringent quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical, IT, or related field
  • Minimum of 9 years of DoD-specific experience
  • Strong background in DoD SATCOM systems, including Narrowband, Wideband, Protected, and Commercial systems
  • Experience with enterprise architectures and strategic priorities
  • Ability to capture customer intent and produce polished work products under tight deadlines with minimal rework
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and succinct staff products
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights and present them to senior leaders
  • Experience advising and collaborating directly with military leaders at O-6 and above and SES personnel
  • Familiarity with Pentagon processes, Army tasking systems, and staff action package coordination
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Expertise in ETMS/ETMS2, with legacy knowledge of TMT or CATMS
  • Desired: Joint Staff, Army/Service Headquarters, or OSD experience at O-3 to O-5 or equivalent level and above
  • Familiarity with the DoD PPBE process, including MDEP analysis, POM cycle inputs, or Army funding line track management
  • PMP, Scrum Master, Agile, or CompTIA Security+ certifications desired
