About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, design, and develop digital electronic components and assist in commercialization
- Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing
- Set up and conduct laboratory simulations
- Design product interfaces for proper integration and functionality
- Conduct and participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and product-development tasks
- Support engineering design reviews, including PDR, CDR, and TRR
- Author interface control documents for systems and subsystems
- Create product schematics and bills of materials
- Help establish system architecture
- Lead technical execution of electrical engineering principles
- Assist with technical content for white papers supporting proposal development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s (BS) in Electrical Engineering or a related field required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital electronics design
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance
- Strong understanding of standard engineering processes and terms, including ICDs, SRDs, CDDs, PDR, CDR, TRR, and Customer Acceptance
- Direct experience in circuit board design, fabrication, and assembly
- In-depth knowledge of high-speed digital circuits, layouts, and interfaces
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout
- Broad knowledge of USB3.x, Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, and SPI
- Operating experience with logic analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
- Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills
- Master’s (MS) in Electrical Engineering or related field desired
- Experience with electronic exploitation desired
- Familiarity with Siemens PADS software desired
- Experience with HDLs such as VHDL or Verilog desired
