About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a senior software developer on a cross-functional Agile Scrum team
- Sustain applications through new and enhanced functions and features, defect analysis, and fixes
- Research, design, develop, and modify application software systems supporting release deployments
- Produce detailed specifications and write software code
- Collaborate with business analysts, designers, subject matter experts, product teams, shared services teams, cybersecurity, and other stakeholders
- Create and execute test cases and author technical documentation
- Ensure adherence to program configuration change-control standards
- Understand the structure and functionality of COTS applications such as Oracle
- Write interfaces and conversion routines using APIs
- Research and analyze third-party vendor software tools for implementation
- Track metrics, report defects, prevent defects, perform root-cause analysis, and improve development efficiency and quality
- Write tasks and tests for user stories
- Estimate assigned work and report status and barriers during daily Scrum sessions
- Deliver iterative application releases on time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Secret DoD security clearance required
- College degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline; experience considered in lieu of education
- Minimum of 7 years related technical experience
- Current DoD 8570/8140 certification, such as Sec+ CE or CASP CE
- Expert developer experience with C#
- Expert developer experience with Visual Basic
- Expert developer experience with ASP.NET / MVC
- Expert developer experience with database development / SQL
- Expert developer experience with JavaScript
- Expert developer experience with Entity Framework 6.x
- Expert developer experience with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap
- Expert developer experience with TFS/GIT
- Expert developer experience with Palantir Foundry / Army Vantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Ability to resolve complex technical challenges
- Ability to work with limited oversight
