About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on the FADE team alongside agile development, product owners, infrastructure, site reliability engineering, and security teams
- Manage and track system changes as new capabilities are added
- Understand existing program interfaces and track interface updates and additions
- Coordinate interface changes with the government customer and FADE teams
- Own and maintain the program’s technical documents
- Define and execute dynamic document generation based on system interfaces
- Support externally exposed APIs and external entities using custom APIs, OGC API standards, API Gateways, and related technologies
- Coordinate new API data-sharing requests and lead Technical Exchange Meetings with external customers
- Provide technical integration support and user troubleshooting
- Conduct technical briefings to the FADE Program Management Office for integration approvals
- Support API testing for endpoint changes and customer integration use cases
- Coordinate activities among customers, system engineers, developers, and mission operations teams
- Analyze system requirements and assist with design and development activities when necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Citizen
- Current Top Secret SCI clearance and polygraph preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of related experience required
- Five (5) years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Strong communication skills
- Technical writing skills, including concepts of operation, software release notes, user guides, test procedures, engineering and architectural diagrams, and presentation development
- Knowledge and experience debugging, troubleshooting, and testing REST APIs
- Experience using and creating dashboarding tools such as Grafana and ELK
- Experience performing system and user activity log reviews
- Knowledge of RESTful API services, OGC WFS and WMS standards, Real-Time Streaming/web socket technologies, GeoServer, Jupyter Notebooks, and Kafka
- Experience creating and maintaining Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts preferred
- Experience creating or maintaining DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) views preferred
- Experience with automated test frameworks for API-level testing preferred
