About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing Test Engineering and quality assurance for releasable software in short sprint cycles
Design, develop, and implement custom software and database application capabilities for legacy and modernized systems
Support teammates and collaborate with product team members to ensure product and team success
Provide improvements to supported products
Participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, and retrospectives
Support release planning with conceptual design and refinement of software engineering guidelines
Analyze complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components
Present ideas for system improvements
Work closely with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements
Collaborate with software developers, engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5+ years of related experience
Strong testing skills and experience with web applications
Experience supporting functional, accessibility, and regression testing requirements
Experience with web application testing in a production environment
Ability to apply standard software testing best practices
Experience writing and updating testing documentation
Documented experience with software testing tools and processes
Experience developing repeatable test procedures, executing test scripts, and documenting results
Ability to work with software developers to identify and resolve defects
Proven work experience in Agile software development and quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes for standard web applications
Ability to learn new software and technologies as necessary
Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Experience with automated testing and developing automated test scripts and test cases using Selenium test suite
Secret clearance required to start
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification desired
Familiarity with VersionOne desired
