About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development teams comprising 5 to 10 professionals
- Partner with the Scrum Master and other stakeholders to manage and guide squads
- Define and evolve data architectures and distributed systems
- Ensure the technical quality, scalability, and performance of solutions
- Participate in strategic decisions related to the data platform and applications
- Conduct technical reviews, provide mentoring, and support team development
- Work on projects involving high-volume data processing and cloud architectures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in Data Engineering
- More than 10 years of experience in technology
- At least 3 years of experience as a Tech Lead or Technical Coordinator
- Proven experience leading teams of 5 to 10 people
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience working closely with Scrum Masters and business teams
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Strong knowledge of Spark and Systems Architecture
- Mandatory technical skills: ETL, Apache Spark, PySpark, Java, React, REST APIs, Apache Kafka, relational databases (SQL), NoSQL databases, cloud computing, distributed systems, application architecture, and microservices
- Experience in complex, highly scalable environments
- Systems thinking and an architectural mindset
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to make technical decisions
- Hands-on, results-oriented profile
