About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete analytical tasks associated with underwriting and monitoring the organization’s Commercial Loan Portfolio
  • Spread and analyze business and personal financial statements and tax returns, accounts receivable and payable aging, inventory reports, and third-party appraisal reports
  • Determine cash flow using appropriate software and cash flow models
  • Analyze financial conditions, industries, and trends
  • Conduct credit investigations and analyze credit information pertaining to loans
  • Investigate available sources of credit and financial information
  • Complete annual loan reviews, risk grades, and problem loan reports
  • Collect financial information and perform covenant monitoring and testing
  • Ensure credit files include proper documentation, current financial statements, and agency reports
  • Review and report non-compliance with loan covenants
  • Conduct industry research and assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
  • Exceptional customer service skills required
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work and travel to different credit union locations as determined by management
