About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Transport reactivated carbons, supplies, and equipment between the reactivation plant and offsite warehouse
- Ship and receive finished product and spent carbon
- Ensure accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments
- Store and reorganize stock
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and orderly
- Arrange transportation for outbound orders
- Maintain warehouse inventory levels
- Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts
- Perform SAP functions as needed
- Follow safety policies, JSPs, guidelines, and environmental-compliance requirements
- Maintain warehouse storage capacity, equipment, and required warehouse standards
- Perform receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory-management operations
- Call special carriers and work with Landstar for daily shipping activities
- Request COAs, coordinate special pallets, book deliveries, and complete customs paperwork
- Troubleshoot problem orders and inventory discrepancies
- Contact forwarders and compile booking information, dangerous-goods forms, SDSs, COAs, and other required paperwork
- Create shipment and sample labels and correct shipment issues
- Advise the Warehouse Group Leader and Manager of shipment problems or delays
- Input batch numbers, part numbers, carriers, and other information on bills of lading
- Print bills of lading for driver distribution
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- IATA, IMDG, and HAZMAT certifications required (IATA and IMDG training to be provided)
- 3–5 years of experience driving in commercial activities required
- 3–5 years of experience shipping Hazmat materials required
- 5–7 years of experience with Warehouse/Materials Management required
- Forklift experience preferred
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Ability and willingness to step into any position when needed
- Ability to comply with hazardous-material shipping requirements and regulatory documentation
- Training in IATA, IMO, and Hazmat, and keeping up with regulatory changes
