About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform outside deck and placement-area site duties
  • Handle ropes and cables during dredging and boating operations
  • Clean pumps and cutters using small hand tools
  • Maintain equipment in a neat and orderly condition
  • Assist with pipeline installation over water and onshore
  • Maintain housekeeping on floating equipment and placement-area sites
  • Participate in safety and environmental initiatives supporting regulatory compliance and company programs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Report directly to the Leverman, or to the Dredge Captain in the Leverman's absence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior Deckhand/Laborer experience
  • Open water experience
  • Experience with operation of anchor barge winch equipment
  • Ability to comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work away from home at remote project locations for extended durations
  • Must be reliable and motivated
  • Ability to obtain TWIC
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
  • Must be able to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment
  • Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs individually
  • Must be able to push and pull at peak force of 150 lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs and/or vertical ladders of 6 ft or greater
  • Ability to work in confined areas and/or elevated heights
  • Ability to adapt to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, dusty, wet, humid, noisy, and vibrating environments
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
