About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the end-to-end close process for monthly, quarterly, and annual financials
  • Review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and GAAP compliance
  • Manage tech-sector accounting workflows, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 340-40 sales commission deferral and amortization, R&D expense tracking, and stock-based compensation
  • Manage the annual financial audit process and external auditor relationship
  • Direct internal team resources to complete audit schedules, technical documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Identify and deploy AI-driven tools and intelligent software to automate reconciliations and accelerate transaction processing
  • Reduce total days-to-close
  • Mentor and manage a team of 3 accounting professionals
  • Drive operational excellence and modernize workflows through technology enablement
  • Report to the Corporate Controller and work closely with the CFO
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Active CPA license strongly preferred
  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 3+ years directly managing a team
  • Experience in a growth-stage SaaS or technology company required
  • Public accounting background preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite
  • Familiarity with AI-integrated accounting software
  • Continuous adoption of AI technologies is essential; expected to leverage AI platforms to streamline operations, solve complex problems, and stay ahead of industry benchmarks
