About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform technical, analytical, and support functions for Cambia Health Solutions’ Actuarial Division
- Help proactively manage and retrospectively track and report on the company’s financial and risk positions
- Support the strategic goals of the corporation
- Apply academic experience and actuarial knowledge within a not-for-profit healthcare organization
- Work in person, remotely, or in a hybrid arrangement at designated offices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Twelve-week internship scheduled to begin in May/June 2027
- Working towards a degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or a similar major
- Making progress towards passing at least one actuarial exam
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and database creation and management
- Experience working with large datasets
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program through spring 2027
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require sponsorship for employment status now or in the future
- Background check required
- Experience utilizing generative AI tools and resources in area of expertise highly desired
