About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the Payment Integrity product strategy and roadmap
  • Align priorities with enterprise goals, medical expense reduction opportunities, regulatory requirements, and operational needs
  • Lead and develop Product Owners and team members
  • Create accountability for outcomes, priorities, and delivery
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to translate opportunities into prioritized capabilities, requirements, and executable work
  • Oversee operational, process, data, vendor, and systems changes supporting Payment Integrity capabilities
  • Use financial, quality, operational, and vendor performance measures to evaluate outcomes, identify gaps, and recommend corrective action
  • Drive end-to-end readiness across claims editing and payment integrity workflows, including testing, implementation, issue resolution, and post-production stabilization
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships and align vendor capabilities, integrations, performance, and roadmaps with business needs
  • Identify risks, dependencies, capacity constraints, and trade-offs and provide options and recommendations
  • Provide direction to the team and foster a positive, growth-oriented work environment
  • Supervise 3–5 FTEs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, clinical discipline, finance, or related field
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 6 years of experience in product management, health plan operations, healthcare, insurance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of health plan claims, payment integrity, reimbursement, pre- and post-payment workflows, or related health plan operations
  • Ability to translate complex operational and technical needs into product strategy, roadmaps, prioritized backlogs, and measurable outcomes
  • Experience leading cross-functional work across Claims, Operations, Technology, Analytics, Finance, and vendor partners
  • Strong business acumen using data, financial impact, quality measures, and operational performance to guide prioritization and investment decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate complex issues, dependencies, and trade-offs while creating clarity and driving decisions
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic relationships with external partners and vendors
  • Experience with claims editing, payment policy, coding, reimbursement, audit, or payment integrity technology strongly preferred
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies highly desired
  • Background check required
  • Personal mobile device required for Multi-Factor Authentication upon joining
  • Wired internet connection required for work-from-home option; satellite or cellular connections are not accepted, with minimum 5Mb upload and 10Mb download speeds
