About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the Pharmacy product strategy and roadmap
- Align priorities with member needs, affordability, clinical outcomes, regulatory requirements, and enterprise goals
- Lead and develop Product Owners and team members
- Establish accountability for outcomes, priorities, and delivery
- Partner with pharmacy, business, and technology leaders to translate needs into prioritized capabilities, requirements, and executable work
- Oversee operational, benefit, process, data, integration, vendor, and systems changes
- Coordinate PBM and vendor dependencies, integrations, implementation activities, and operational readiness
- Use financial, utilization, quality, member, and operational measures to evaluate performance and guide improvement
- Drive readiness including testing, implementation, regulatory readiness, issue resolution, and post-production stabilization
- Manage strategic vendor relationships and align partner capabilities, performance, contractual commitments, and roadmaps
- Provide direction to the team and foster a positive employee experience
- Supervise 3–5 FTEs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, clinical discipline, finance, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred
- 6 years of experience in product management, health plan operations, healthcare, insurance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefits, PBM operations, formulary or benefit administration, pharmacy clinical programs, or related health plan workflows
- Ability to translate pharmacy, clinical, operational, and regulatory needs into product strategy, roadmaps, prioritized backlogs, and measurable outcomes
- Experience leading cross-functional work across Pharmacy, Clinical Operations, Technology, Product, Analytics, Finance, and vendor partners
- Understanding of pharmacy benefit capabilities, data and system integrations, member and provider workflows, and vendor dependencies
- Strong business acumen using financial, utilization, quality, member, and operational measures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to navigate regulatory, operational, vendor, and technology dependencies
- Demonstrated success managing strategic relationships with PBMs, pharmacy vendors, or other external partners
- Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies highly desired
- Commutable distance from a listed office or willingness to relocate preferred
- Background check required
- Personal mobile device required for MFA
- Wired internet connection required for work-from-home option, with minimum 5 Mb upload and 10 Mb download speeds
